11-12:30p Brother Jon Band

From Minneapolis Minnesota. The band is rooted in Classic rock and blues with a jam style all of our own. Promoting their first release Open Jam, the band is getting some airplay with the song Bobby’s Blues, currently on multiple stations across the US and followed up by the song Dog getting some good airtime as well.  Winners of the 2016 Famous Dave’s battle of the bands. And in 2017 voted best album by Duluth Minnesota’s 94x. In 2018 the band was runner up in the Road to Memphis competition and in 2019 voted favorite band by the fans and KFAI Radio and Minnesota Music. Thanks Benjamin Raye! The band is at a high point. For the 94x Inline Marathon competition, Duluth blocked off I35 while the band played in the tunnels for 2000 spectators and racers.

The band keeps getting better moving through the trenches...playing locally, regionally and nationally at clubs and festivals. Anywhere and everywhere!  Most notably Lowertown Blues Festival in St Paul Minnesota. Duluth Minnesota’s Homegrown Festival where 200 bands perform on the streets and clubs of Duluth, MN and Superior, WI for a week. Northwoods Blues Festival in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. And in 2017 at The Red Gorilla Festival in Austin Texas, a division of the South by Southwest festival.

For the band's second effort they have signed on with legendary producer and engineer Jonathan Akre. Jonathan’s credentials speak for themselves and can only help the band achieve the success we deserve.

1-3p Trent Romens Band

Trent Romens Band is a Blues-Soul-Jam band hailing from the Twin Cities. Fronted by longtime local blues guitarist Trent Romens, this band is a culmination of Trent's ability to write songs and captivate an audience. Starting out on the local music scene when he was only 13, Trent has been turning heads and forming a new familiar sound.

From his early days as a blues-rock guitar phenom to his current incarnation as a mature player and thoughtful songwriter, Trent Romens has been a mainstay on the midwestern music scene for years.  In addition to opening for national acts including Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jimmie Vaughn, and Soul Asylum, he has made prominent appearances at some of the most renowned blues festivals in the region. Now, after a brief hiatus, he is returning with the most compelling music of his career.

Trent was born in Minneapolis and spent his teenage years cutting his teeth in the Twin Cities. It didn’t take long for his first band to start turning heads. Trent became a local sensation, and soon, he was headlining festivals and theaters, living out Trent’s childhood dreams. The band was short-lived, but despite their brief existence, they made an indelible impact on the Minnesota blues scene and established Trent as an artist of rare talent and depth.

In the wake of the band’s break up, Trent stepped away, got married, and disappeared from the stage. But music was never far from his mind. Upon returning to the guitar, he found that he had evolved as a musician and songwriter. Written from the perspective of a man who had lived out his dreams only to see them fade away, these new songs reignited his passion for music. Trent has been steadily rebuilding his career, and with new releases scheduled for this year and beyond, he is poised to leave a lasting legacy.

3:30-5:30p Brotherhood of Birds

Brotherhood of Birds (BoB) is a Twin Cities-based, Minnesota progressive acoustic string band whose original compositions bring together traditional and modern styles.

After hatching in January 2021, the group released 2 EPs entitled “Caged Vol. 1 & 2”. In the same year, they played the historic First Avenue Main Room, Blue Ox Music Festival, Shangri-La Music Festival, and were featured in Bluegrass Standard magazine as well as on 88.5 Bluegrass Saturday Morning. In 2022 they were spotted on on the lineup for Revival, Pickin On Picknic, Boats & Bluegrass, MBOTMAs August Fest, Galactic Get Down, Sioux River Folk Fest, & Palisade Bluegrass Bash to name a few. The bands tag team style lineup makes every show unique while showcasing some of the premier players in the genre that the twin cities has to offer.

BoB’s core lineup consists of brothers Willie Christianson on guitar, & Cole Christianson on banjo, as well as Gavin Haskin on mandolin. 6-8p Charlie Parr

Charlie Parr is an incorruptible outsider who writes novelistic, multi-layered stories that shine a kaleidoscopic light on defiant, unseen characters thriving in the shadows all around us. Parr has a new record with only his name on it, and it isn’t shiny and perfect and commercial and catchy. It’s him. It’s pure Charlie Parr and that’s enough. He hasn’t moved to LA or Nashville; he’s stayed in the cold grey north of Minnesota, because that’s his home.

“Parr continues to spin life’s small details into profound lyrical observations of acceptance and wonder….the further adventures of a guitar-picking great” MOJO

“Charlie Parr’s eponymous debut is roaring American folk-blues with its plaid shirt plastered on. A charismatic voice and bright finger-picking raise it above cliches, the latter well done given Parr shattered his shoulder last year, and needed eight pins to fix it.” The Guardian

"People often talk about the blues being timeless, and that rings true for Parr and the songs on this album. Given the current sad state of America, they’ll be just as compelling, and poignant, years from now as the day they were written.” RELIX “A voice that somehow sounds like it came into existence hundreds of years ago while sounding fresher than nearly anything around him in 2019. His tenure as a living folk legend is solidified with each and every track No Depression

“Charlie Parr’s self-titled album represents a victory for the Minnesota singer-songwriter.” Billboard

“Parr is an example of a performer who never allows his gifts to get in the way of the music. His guitar playing is virtuosic and yet never becomes a distraction from the power of the story he's weaving before our ears.” Popmatters

Charlie Parr: “If I get to touch the strings and play a little lick and make some sounds, everything else is gravy” - Guitar World

8:30-10:30p The Last Revel

The Last Revel is a three-piece folk group from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Utilizing their multi instrumental abilities, members Lee Henke, Ryan Acker, and Vincenzio Donatelle, bring a full spectrum of modern Americana to life with lush arrangements of three-part vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, upright bass, fiddle, and 5-string banjo to consistently support impassioned performances of their honest and heartfelt songwriting. Drawing influence from their salt of the earth Midwest ethos the band’s songs so naturally blend the genres of Folk, Old Time StringBand and Indie Rock to create a sound that echoes the current heartbeat of America.

Their latest release, Dovetail, highlights each member's strength as songwriters and collaborators, and further solidifies their musical foundation after a hiatus beginning in 2019. Self-produced and released under the bands own label, Sheep Sheep Records, Dovetail is the band's fifth studio album.
